To each of you -- my thanks. You honor me with your thoughts and words.
I miss my guy. He would stare at me through the transom glass at the front door and soundlessly MEOW when it was dinner time; he would put a pretty good hole in his plate of awful smelling fish yuck and slowly work his way around the living room accepting homage and praise from his subjects; but it was my lap he would commandeer. Ling-ling was a Himalayan with the long silky hair and marking of a Siamese. In usually just a few minutes my lap felt like a lit Weber grille was taking up residence, but I would tough it out just to enjoy his buzzing purr.
I will not soon forget him.
Thanks again, ya'll.
