The $1200 worth of quarters a combo washer costs will do a heck of a lot of laundry. To each his own,let us do our thing without judgement.

Sure didn't cost that for ours. But even if it did, when having to use a laudromat (somewhere that we don't have sewer at the sight for a week or more) then I find it costs between $8 and $10 to do a weeks laundry at laundromats - - so that would be about $400/year for laundry. We've been fulltiming for 6 years so far, so we have more than paid for the w/d.

What I'd like to know is why do a couple of old retired people need to wash a load or two of cloths every day? What do you people do play in the mud or do you drool on yourselves?
We go all week and only need to wash one load of colored cloths and one load of whites.

I guess it's because I change my undees every day. Something my mom taught me. Something about being in an accident or something like that!

Today is my personal best for most consecutive days alive.

Some of us change clothes more often. We also have sheets and towels to wash each week. One load of towels, one of sheets, one of whites, one of colored, one of jeans/sweatshirts (in the winter).

The Malber washer and dryer came with my fiver. Washing takes a little less than one hour per load and drying is just about one hour. I would never get another camper without the W/D and now that we are fulltiming it is priceless.

So after a couple of years using the splendide 2100xc I retired the rv so my son could use it as an apartment, he got the splendide.

As it turned out I came across a used malber w/d and bought it. Wow is it ever better than the splendide. Hands down, the clothes are cleaner and smell cleaner too. Same soap and softener.

Interesting thing, I suppose for folks with delicates and all, is the ability to adjust the spin rpms down to a slower speed so the clothes dont get creases in them. I dont use that, just thought it was interesting.

In six years of use, five of them snowbirding for 4 months a year and now a year of fulltiming, we have not had a single breakdown with the Malber W/D. I did break the handle on the washer when I pulled it before the machine had stopped. There are not many dealers for Malber but they do have a distributor that was very quick with parts once I had the correct number. The manual has two numbers to call. One goes to a voice mail that is never answered. The other gets immediate results. I forget which is which but here are the two numbers. IIRC the second number got results.
