DW and I are about a year and a half away from switching over to full time RVing, I'm retired, she still has about a year to go.
Washer in a MH, for those of you that have one, what is the approximate capacity of the washers in a MH and how long does it take to do a load?
Dryers - same question, capacity and time, we've been told that a 110 dryer is not worth the space, either line dry INSIDE the MH, or use the RV parks dryers? Thoughts from those that have been doing this for awhile? DW would really prefer having her own washer, not really concerned about the dryers, says she can line dry in th like house she does in our currant situation. I have no problem having a washer in the MH (don't have much choice either), just hate to waste the space if you can only do two pairs of socks at a time.

During some lengthy discussions here, it seems the best setup is to get a RV WD ready and install a propane powered WD combo from sears for best drying performance. They don't use much propane and dry far faster than 110. But, you'll have to plump the propane to them.

We don't concern ourselves with capacity. We simply do a small load ever day or so. Start it in the morning and let it run. No big deal.

Plus some CG's will not allow a drying line outside. We have used Kenmore stacks for 14 years, recently replaced original, having timer issues. As mentioned, do a load or two daily. If you examine public facilities, you may choose NOT to put your clothes in them.

Good advise we have had the combo unit - small loads takes forever.
We now have stacked and bigger loads but still takes about 3 hours to do one load, 1 wash 2 dry.
Would not be without both, saves alot of money and some laudrmats can be scary and not close to campgrounds.
Even though in my opinion must have sewer to run the washer.

We had the stacked w/d for 7 years of fulltiming. Loved them. In my experience, very, very few places allow line drying, so don't count on it......

We fulltime with the Splendide 2100XC and I love it. Yeah, it took some getting used to. Just read the owner's manual a time or two and don't expect it to act like a washer/dryer you've used before, because it's different!

The length of time to wash a load depends on water pressure. I wash a load a day, and hang things outside to dry when I am allowed.

When you full time, you get used to living in 300 to 400 sq ft of living space. When you have a combo Splendide you get used to washing 1-2 loads per day. Washing load is small, and drying time is long. So what? You are retired, you are full timing, you have all day! Never understood why folks get rid of their W/D, because it takes too long, and then drive to a shady part of town to use someone else's W/D and pay a small fortune for the "privilege". Not to mention how wonderfully entertaining it is to sit around a coin laundry watching other peoples kids ride the rolling baskets. Not my idea of fun.

Today is my personal best for most consecutive days alive.
