Boards. Some of the State Parks we go to can require 3-4" to get the rig level.

I used exactly the same set up on my last 5er. The air levelers worked very well...still use the Rotochoks. Now, on the new rig I also use the auto leveling system.

I took an eight food 2x6 and cut 30", 24", 18", and 12" pieces, all with a 45* angle on the edge, stacked them and screwed them together. Now, I have a $2.00 leveling ramp, up to 6" in height. Every 1 1/2 inch in height, I have a nice platform 6" long that accomodates the tire just perfectly.
For the landing gear, I cut nine pieces of 2x4, 9" long and screwed them together. I cut four more pieces the same length and attached two on the bottom of the nine, and two one the top of it. That gave me a nice 9x9x6 1/2 block to put under each leg.

I sure would like to make these myself. I can not seem to find the instructions on this forum. Do you have a link I can use?
I appreciate your help....

Those are nicely made. But I figure that by the time I dig out an air compressor, hose, and plug it in to fill the bags, not to mention the time it will take to fill them, I will already be leveled on blocks, unhitched, and eating a sandwich.

I used a small rechargeable compressor that stayed with the air leveller's...really didn't take that long. The new auto hydraulic auto levelling system is one of the best options on the new unit.
I bought my air leveler's from the company that originally made them...I even have three extra one's new that a person asked me to get but never picked up. Here is a DIY link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x19Wsx2OSz8

I have a set of the "lego" blocks that I use, but also carry a number of boards. At my favorite bookdock site, I carry my boards that I normally park on in storage (two, 4' 2x6 redwood boards screwed together) and use one of them on the downhill side, which levels me up almost perfectly. On a fairly level site, I'll use my lego blocks under my rear stabilizers instead of boards. :-)

over the years we've tried most everything mentioned .... for us the plastic lego blocks broke when used on gravel and sank when used on sand/dirt .... the airbags leaked and we never could get the camper stabilized to where the motion from walking around wasn't more than we found acceptable .... assorted thicknesses of ply board, 1x8's, 2x8's cut so they would fit between the tires worked best and served us well for a long time .... a year ago we had a Bigfoot leveling system installed and my only question is I can't figure out why we waited so long

As far as wooden blocks go, I've never needed to carry 1x stock (3/4") just the 2x size (1-1/2"). When I've needed less than 1-1/2", I just put a block under one tire, and nothing under the other. The net is about a 3/4" lift. Or one block under one tire, two blocks under the other. Never needed to be more level than that. With experience reading the level, you will hit the block combo the first time, almost every time.
