Anyone know where the OBD-1 test port is on the 1992 E-350 chassis? It isn't under the dash and all I can see under the hood is 2 batteries and the master cylinder. LOL. I hope I don't have to remove all of the air intake hoses, etc.

I believe it is under hood on drs side near firewall. If its a diesel it may be hard to see. May also be called EEC IV, if you are googgling it.

No diesel. It's a 460 engine.

This is correct. It may be tucked in next to the coolant overflow.

Nope, not in any of the places mentioned. I removed the air intake duct work and got my first look at the front of the 460 engine but no OBD-1 connector. The water pump bypass hose looks pretty bad and I had a few of them blow on the 390 engines, so that will be replaced along with the air filters. At least I got the ducts scrubbed clean and the metal work painted. OT will get his rig on the road before me.
Finally got my brake hoses from AutoZone today. It took the manager to find them pushed to the back of the bin for the past 9 days.

Found it! When looking for the test plug I removed the air intake ductwork from the top of the engine and discovered that the tiny thermostat bypass hose was swollen and needed replacing, which I did. While reassembling the ductwork and talking to my neighbor I noticed a little black box under the front corner of the left fender. It was really tucked away and I must have looked there a dozen times or more. I installed the batteries in the new OBD-1 tester and couldn't get a reading. Later while eating a very late supper I discovered that the supplied AA batteries were completely covered with a heavy plastic. Tomorrow is another day. Thanks all.

My unit is on an 1988 chassis and I just ground the computer and then count the flash codes of the check engine light. I have a print out of all codes with me at all times. Has saved me a few times.
