So we brought home our new Keystone 311BHS. We did a full walkthrough and inspection. But we got it home and notice a bubble in the rear exterior wall about a foot and a half long. I have heard of delamination but have never seen it myself. I assume that is what this is. I have no idea what this is going to be. It sucks to have to have warranty work on a TT that you haven't even had for 24 hours. We love it though and have a bunch of reservations already booked at various campgrounds. Hopefully this won't cut into our camping too badly.

The bubble was not there when you picked up your TT?

Maybe the dealer will do the right thing...

How bad? Pictures? I have seen some Filon campers that appear to have an imperfect glue-down on the curved surfaces, but the "wave" is barely noticable.

As long as you get it documented by your dealer and he check for leaks, the warranty should cover you for this spot in the future. I think I might like my dealer to put this in writing though.

We went over it in the shop because it was raining and I don't know if it was just the lighting that we didn't see it but I guess that doesn't mean that it was or wasn't there. We towed it to our house which is maybe 1/2 mile away from the dealer. Parked it as you see in the picture and we were walking around it showing to DW's parents when we noticed it. It was about 2 hours after we picked it up.

I called the dealer as soon as we noticed it and the lady that we signed papers with made note and is going to have someone call me right away tomorrow. Our salesman was out sick when we picked it up.

What type of repair are we looking at if they fix it?

Good looking camper. I am glad that they will look at it. Most times the dealer will fix it with no problem. Enjoy your outside kitchen.

I would be all over that Dlr. I am sure they knew of the problem before you took delivery. Before you take delivery and sign DMV papers--they still own the trailer but after you physically take delivery--drive it off the lot--you own it and than it becomes an issue between the Manu. and their warranty and you with the dealer as an intermediate. If you have any problems--call the Manu. and keep records of all communications and take pics. Good luck, Lars

At least you are close to your dealer...
Repair for delam. (if that's what it is) is to replace the entire exterior wall...sadly that often means a trip back to the factory...

Getting a new rig is suppose to be fun and this certainly isn't fun.

Good luck with it.

When I see posts like this I have to wonder where the quality is? As far as pride of wprkmanship and the finished product the RV industry, with few exceptions, has lots of work to do. What a sad deal. Hope dealer and Mfg, do the right thing in a timely manner. Best of luck.
