We are looking at having the carpet and laminate flooring replaced in our 2006 Dutch Star. Not a wear issue just tired of dirty carpets! The product we are looking as having installed is Duraceramic by Wilsonart. Has anyone used this product and are you happy with the results.
Thanks

I may be missing something but the website does not mention using the product on the floors; only countertops and cabinet tops.
Speaking with no knowledge whatsoever I would be careful of using ceramic/porcelain tile products on the floor because of the vibration and twisting of the frame when traveling down the road.
How about marmoleum?

We have Duraceramic by CONGOLEUM and love it.

Much lighter than ceramic, looks like ceramic, not subject to cracking like ceramic, wears very well.

On edit-- let's try this link, if not, the one below is correct.

Think you got it backwards Dick, from the installation manual.

Recommended for use in all areas of the home except
countertops, ceilings and wet areas like shower walls and
shower floors.

I too was considering the use of Duraceramic until I read the many negative reviews on this site:

We have it in our kitchen and what the web site above sez is mostly true. We have had to replace tiles and now have more that have cracked. It feels great on your feet compared to ceramic but I wish we had looked at a Pergo type floor instead.

Last year I installed Armstrong "Alterna" which is very similar to Durastone which I also considered. After a lot of research I chose the Alterna and installed it myself. Pretty big job and a bit pricey but really love it. The drawback to using it is that it required a 3/16 plywood sub-floor installed first as the adhesive was not compatible with OSB sub-flooring. Can be cut with a razor knife by scribing and snapping, tin snips, coping saw or band saw, can also be installed with or with out grout. I installed with grout ( which is not supposed to crack )in the MH and without grout in our stick house. I prefer the grout best for appearance. Has not cracked, chipped or scratched after over a year. Traveled from Florida to Michigan and back twice and lived in for for 10 months. I installed it in a diagonal pattern to avoid the bowling ally look which was a bit more work but looks beautiful and wears well. Armstrong provides a 25 wear warranty but don't have any knowledge of customer care as I have not had any problems.

We spent July of last year in Elkhart having some remodeling done. We had all the carpet and porcelain tile removed and replaced with Mannington Adura. It's similar to the Armstrong Dura products but we liked the patterns and colors of the Adura much better. We also had it laid with grout on the diagonal in 16" squares. We recarpeted the slide floors but the main coach floor from front to back is now tile. Long story short, we absolutely love the floor. We are full timers and have lived with it for 9 months now and our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner.
