and got a nice site! Yay.
Anyone who has gotten a reservation in the valley knows how it feels to push the button at exactly 7:00 am. and get a site!
We love Yosemite, been there at least 15 times.
Went twice last year!
Food even tastes better there!

"Food even tastes better there!"

Funny...that's what the bears say too...

I was not as fortunate. What a fiasco...!!! Got up at 6:30AM, logged on, site selection for my sized rig, opened up the window for anytime over the 4 weeks available. Watched the atomic clock for 7AM. Hit the reserve button exactly at 7, got a reponse I was too early. Immediately hit the button again, with same response. Immediately hit it a third time and the message came up site not availabe. Immediately went to another site and they were all gone...!!! All of this in literally seconds, maybe 30 when I refreshed to see what else was out there. What a complete sham...

I guess the good news I won't have to put up with the over crowded valley floor... which it obviously will be based on the speed those sites evaporated.

I haven't a clue what possessed me to even try...

Just checked recreation.gov for site availability for Crane Flat and Hodgdon Meadow CGs. While they are outside of the Valley, there are a lot of sites available at either CG during the 4 week period.

We reserved a site during March 15th lottery at Hodgdon for 7 days in the previous 4 week period. We had wanted to get into Upper or Lower Pines, and had clicked at 7:00 AM sharp, but they disappeared within seconds.

Good Luck.
