Selling our 1995 well-loved Rockwood Premier 1904 PUP. Had 6 wonderful camping years with it, but now it's time to buy a Travel trailer that doesn't need set up or have canvas. Must be getting 'old'. Just want to pull, park and relax!"-)
Question. Have a '08 Town & Country with trailer tow pkg...towed my PUP (1500lbs dry)loaded with ease,(including kayaks, bikes etc) and now planning on buying a Coachman Clipper 16B-2420 dry.(18' end to end)
Do you think I can tow this ok? I've done the math, and I would be well under the GVWR(which is 3500 for the trailer and 3600 for my van)
Thoughts from anyone?

Hi!
Welcome to the forum!
We have a 2012 KZ Sportsmen Classic 200. We recently towed it from Wisconsin to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. 1,000 miles each way over the Appalachians. Our tow vehicle is a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country with the factory tow package. (3.8L V6, heavy duty tranny cooling and engine cooling, heavy duty alternator and battery, and load leveling). This is our third year towing travel trailers with this minivan and have had NO problems at all. On the trip to DC we kept the speed around 55MPH and averaged 14MPG. GVWR of our trailer is 3500. The unit was consistently stable and never a chore. The 7% grades through the mountains did slow us a bit but not to the point of it being troublesome.

Great! and thanks so much for the information! I am a bit cautious, since it is me (the wife) doing the towing...my husband only joins us once in a while as he has many businesses and doesn't have the time to camp very often.
I'm excited about having a TT!
