well I have sprung a leak in my hot water tank in my 92 fleetwood Terry ;-( any ideas where I could get a new one or how do I measure to find a new one? Im gonna take a wild guess and say if I can get it out there is probably no way to fix it and get it back in and be usable?? anybody try this? the location of the leak Im not sure I can find it inside ;-( it seams to be on the bottom of the tank
Freeze damage might have been the cause...if it is an aluminum tanked Atwood water heater (not a glass lined Suburban) then if you can remove the tank and take it to a metal shop with aluminum welding ability, it can be fixed as good as new. But if it has a lot of leaks or the aluminum is just wearing out and looking like swiss cheese...you'll need to buy a new unit.

If that's the original tank it is more likely corrosion damage and not worth fixing. Most RV dealers can order a new heater and many may stock a couple of different models. They would also be able to advise on any size issues.

I needed a new one last year. Got it online from pplmotorhomes.com, Best price I could find. I did have to have a new LP gas line made, as the conection location was a little different on the 'ol 89 TT, other than that not too hard to install if you're handy.
