Don't know if you are close to one, but Camping World's usually have quite a few on display. Best to go and try them out. Also places like Gander Mountain, Dick's, Bass Pro etc.

Tried these at the Rally, and seem to have really good support. Type in "Strongback chairs" in your search engine. Sounds like just what she needs.

Have you tried the zero gravity chairs/lounges? We love ours and my wife has a bad back too.

The best I have found are the plastic chairs that fold up. Most of the cloth foldup chairs just sag to much to give any back support and usually end up having you trying to sit in them like a recliner, butt out near the edge and shoulders on the back with nothing under your back.

The two I have are very similar to these in build but are all plastic. I didn't pay near that price but I have had them for about 25 years. Think I got them at Walmart or Kmart for about $45-$50 each but they have paid for themselves.

I second or third or forth Camping World. They have all chairs out so you can try them. The zero gravity or or the big reclining chairs have a lot of support. But the down side is they are fairly heavy and bulky. Only good for dragging outa of the bed of your pickup or basement and set up, not for carrying down the road to a concert etc.

We purchased director's chairs at Costco. They are a decent height so momma can get out easily, she has severe arthritis. They collapse quickly for storage. The fold out tray with the drink holder for the Appleton's is a bonus.

these are the ones we bought on sale at a rally in FL. They come in different colors. The back sits more "straight up" than others we have tried. They are lightweight, have handles to carry and have a table attached and pouch to put water etc in. We love them. Sorry, don't know the brand name.
