Spent the weekend sanitizing the water system. Oh craps way too much bleach and still can't get all the bleach taste and smell from the water. Measured wrong then on top of it forgot to close the low point drains and dump over half of the over measure on the ground dag. Well lessons learned and will just have to keep flushing till we are good again.

Too much is hard to do...I use too much all the time...

Perhaps you just filled your HW tank with bleachy water and now need to flush it out ?

Mix about a quarter cup of baking soda into a couple of gallons of water and add it to the tank. Then fill the tank and run the water thru the system and let sit for a few hours. Then flush it out and you should be good.

If your flushing with city water the smell may not go away.

Yep, Yep Yep and after I poured the bleach into my tank inlet I read "Never add bleach directly to the tank" Oh well.......
