Wondering what camping is like. Can someone point me to some campgrounds? Thanks ahead of time for your time!

I woulld not count on there being any rv parks or camp grounds with spaces that are empty in the Williston area. Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park out of Medora should have camping places, it is south of the Williston area.

I was just there 2 week ago, and Im sorry to break the news to you, but plan on staying about a 100 miles from williston and commuting, and be prepared to pay $1600 a month the closer you get, I met people that were commuting from miles city, mt, and if you drink beer, bring your own or be ready to pay $20 a half rack

Williston, SD is a 'Oil Boom' town.......overcrowded, high priced due to high demand, infrastructure taxed. Many trailers/campers were 'Wally Docking' for months until Wally finally said enough.

Tough place to try and find a spot........

SD???
When did they move it?

To the OP, don't plan on finding any campsites. From all I have heard, even farmer's fields are crowded!
There just isn't anyplace to live there, so I hear!

the farmers dont even farm anymore, would you if you had 12 motor homes staying on your property all paying $1600 a month, and an oil well pumping 24 hours a day making you more money than that land ever would farming

I'm headed up there in July, I hope I can find a place. I am going up there to visit some customers and try to drum up business. I plan to stay a ways out of town.

I am a native of Williston and there is absolutely no place close to there to park an RV. They are currently in the process of passing an ordinance that will outlaw the parking of any occupied RV in a driveway, city street, etc.
