Having trouble with hy ac. When I turn it on it blows cool at the vent but it doesn't cool the trailer on. Problem just started. Trailer is a 07 Cherokee with a 15000 btu unit on it. Had it checked in cooler temps and the tech said that that he saw no problem but in this 85 degree weather it shows the difference. Any suggestions would help.

............Pull the plastic cover and 4 screws , until you can use a flashlight and inspect the metal partition that seals off the return air from the cold air ! It is entirely possible that , IF the seal isn't ......sealing , that the cold air is being pulled back into the return air and not being utilized too cool the trailer ! This happens more than we realize ! , jf

I have observed this symptom when the sun was shining on my trailer regardless of how warm it is outside. The 15K btu air conditioner just doesn't cut it because it does have enough power to overwhelm the heat added to the trailer by the sun.

The solutions generally are to move to the shade, or add another air conditioner. I did the latter, as shade wasn't handy and its easier to take the air conditioner with me than the shade. Worked great. You can read about it here:
