I left the wasps home and took the empty nests with me.

Paper wasps are attracted to the scents from your holding tank and your propane appliances. Screens are available for most appliance hatches and screens can be made by hand for your vents (depending on style) using an empty beans can and some aluminum screen material.

Here in the Midwest we are going to have one buggy year. Already you have to clean the windshield every time you drive on the open highway.

Does anyone know where or if you can get a screen for the top of the refridgerator vent on top of the trailer, that's where I have problems with paper wasps nesting. I'm been always afraid they might be able to fall into the exchangers and catch fire, don't know if this can happen but the thought has always bothered me. Don't mean to steal the site but since the subject of wasps came up thought I'd ask.

I just took the top off mine and cut and bent a piece of aluminum window screen to fit, then trimmed the edge with aluminum ducting tape and secured it in place using the screws for the lid.

Do it right so that there's no gaps for the little buggers to get in around the bottom edge and you'll be golden.

Both my 1981 Prowler and our 2007 HR had/have screens already covering the roof vent to prevent just this issue. Are you sure yours doesn't.

Another spot to be careful of is the park power pedestal. Often the covers are open on the bottom and inside is a perfect spot for the wasps to build a nest.

Check carefully when opening and hooking up, and do not ask me how I learned this lesson. Let's just say it was painful.
