Check out Living Without Magazine. There are lots of tips for gluten and dairy free living as well as avoiding other foods.
Did you ask your doctor about cheese made from Goat or Sheep milk? I cannot tolerate cow's milk dairy products, but can eat goat and sheep's milk cheeses.
I can have nuts too and enjoy almond milk on my homemade granola.
Most grocery stores sell bottles of sparkling water. It gives a nice mouth feel, if you are used to drinking pop and you can add different flavourings, sliced melon, citrus, berries etc.
You can make iced tea from herbal teas, mint can be nice on a hot day.
We are lucky to have a dedicated Gluten Free bakery an hour away. I preorder hamburger buns, breads and muffins to put in the freezer. I take my own buns to BBQ's.
Many people don't drink enough water for whatever reason. A good way to tell if you are drinking enough is to look at your urine. I know, yuck. If your urine looks clear like water, perhaps with a yellow or green tinge, without a strong odor-you're probably drinking enough. There is a condition called, 'Polydipsia' that causes people to drink so much water that it becomes toxic, but it is very rare. Adding drink mixes to your drinking water is only adding extra sugar/chemicals that most of us don't need. Some people prefer to drink water that is very cold or some people like it room temperature.
Day 12...first thing I've noticed is my energy level has tripled! Rather than feeling tired all the time, I have energy! YAY!!
Couple of lbs lost (will weigh again tomorrow evening)
I am drinking decaf tea and had some decaf coffee this weekend. Just not the same without cream and sweetener! Almond milk / coconut milk just not the same mouth feel!
