I’ve never seen this question asked before, so this may be a first.
My blanket, sheets and comforter keep sliding down the foot of my bed while I’m sleeping. It has become very annoying trying to find the covers numerous times during the middle of the night.
Has anyone ever added a footboard to their bed? I have very little room between the foot of the bed and the wall. Just enough room to walk around the bed.
Any ideas?
Thanks

This drives me nuts too! I'm interested to see what solutions people have come up with.

I pull our covers up over my head....then call the dog up on foot of bed.
Covers stay put but now I have to sleep with my legs pulled up

I hate that too...I use one of these and staple the covers to my chest each night...the blankets and sheet now stay put..

Iclevel. My suggestion is to get a dog. They are a great companion, great to walk with, love to play catch and when they sleep with you at night they hold the covers in one place. LOL.
P.S. get a small dog they don't eat much.

We have a big dog and still have the problem. Sometimes I think she pulls down on the sheets and all so she has something to lay on. In the middle of the night not only do I have to fight with DW for the covers but also the dog.

How about building a folding footboard. If you had a footboard that was hinged at the bottom, and could lay down below the mattress so you could tuck in the sheets underneath, and then swing up on hinges and hold with clasps on both sides of the bed.
The height of the footboard would be almost the same height as the mattress, and it would be able to swing from straight down, to straight up.
It just needs to be able to hold the weight of the bedding from pulling to the ground.

I've seen it done - get a board how ever high you want it to be and as wide as the bed, add L brackets like this:

to attach to the board and to the bed platform.
