Take your new trailer, drive like a moron (120km/hr, drag racing an unsuspecting tow-er) and film yourself doing it. What a putz.

I have a hard time believing that trailer weighs 10K as well. He mentions it was towed straight from the factory, so likely not loaded up except for the water. 10K GVWR maybe, but that size, likely closer to 7-8000lbs max as is.

I noticed the hitch set up too. Equil-i-zer type with dual friction bars added on??? What's that about? Genius probably set it up himself to handle the "pin" weight.

All good points.

It looks like an E2 hitch and the Friction sway control mounts appear to be integrated into the hitch head.

I am stumped... what kind of hitch is that?

Thanks!

Jeremiah

WOW...

Big trailer

Equal-i-zer with Friction sway control

Pin weight?

I feel like the Weight Police after watching this. LOL

Thanks!

What is wrong with that truck pulling a 10,000LB trailer? If the truck is rated to tow a 10,000LB trailer which it is, and the pin weight is only 1,000LB, and his hitch is rated for 10,000 LB with a distribution hitch I don't see the problem. Do you? His speedo is KM/h so he was doing a whoping 50MPH. What a joke!!!!!!!!! (The OP's post that is)

Hey! You got the context Right!

PS... Please point out where I said that what the guy in the video was doing was dangerous. Keep in mind I tow a 7700 GVWR TT with an old Half Ton. Thats right, I didn't... so call it a joke, I thought it was a pretty cool video.

I am still interested in the hitch.

Sheesh, Can't even have a little fun on here?

LOL

Thanks!

120KM/h is only 75 MPH. Not that fast when passing someone safely.

I want to see the video when he's all loaded up with his family on board and the truck bed full too. I bet he doesn't realize that he's already exceeded the trucks payload with just his buddy in it.

The stated "pin" weight (lol) is 910lbs dry. Add propane x2, battery and the water mentioned and his tongue weight is well over 1200lbs. The 1500 Laramies payload is a measly 1280lbs!

I'm not the weight police, and I'm sure the truck will handle it ok, but these videos make me laugh. Carry on....

lol.. how about how he accelerated all the way up to 5k RPMs. I for one, wouldn't do that to my 1500.

A small block V8 will be just starting to make peak power around 5ooo rpm. Nothing wrong with RPM, in a modern engine, the computer will intervene long before you hurt that engine.

Look up when the HEMI (or any engine) makes its peak power and torque and that is about where you should try to be on steep hill climbs.

At the start before they move off, the rear is clearly 'sitting down' on the 'mushy rear coils' even with the WDH set up!

Plus to get the thing to move off he had to floor it.

And so, as HE states...the truck was/is too light for that set up!

The only thing it had going for it was the 'shiny tow mirrors.' LOL.
