WILL it now...
Let's see...
Two self-contained truck campers, 2 travel trailers, 2 Class A motorhomes, a fifth wheel, and a Class C, over the last 40 years or so...
Lived full-time in the Class As, one of the TTs, and the fifth wheel, for as little as 13 weeks (the smaller Class A) to several months (the larger Class A and one of the TTs) to a couple of years (the fifth wheel).
Never had a fire, even though the refrigerators were operating on propane while moving, and electric while parked.
NEVER had a fire...
But, "...a propane fridge will BURN YOUR RIG DOWN!"
Right!
The answer is YES... they sure can and have. You have been extremely lucky. I would be very worried parking next to you while using propane as I only park next to electric rigs.
HA! LOL!
Travel safe and carry a fire hose.

Fact: More Norcold fridges catch fire than residential units. Is that something to worry about?
It is hard to get actual numbers but optimistically the odds are maybe 10 fires per million units sold. Should we abandon propane fridges? These odds are about the same a being hit by lightning in a given year. Do we give up going outside? You are 10 times more likely to die in a car accident in the same year. Do we give up driving?
If anyone is throwing out their propane fridge, I'll take it off your hands. Just like the Toyota I bought from a distressed owner at half price in 2011 after less than 100 brake problems were reported out of 10 million units sold.

Well I will say this, I've heard of quite a few Norcold fridge fires on here, haven't heard of any residential fridge fires yet.
Add in all the recalls and cooling unit failures, I think I;ll stick to wanting a residential fridge with almost twice the capacity and way less problems. Just glad we have a choice today,
As someone who has had a fire caused by a faulty valve in an older model propane powered ref when this propane powered ref quits I'm getting an electric one even if it means having to do some modifying of the ref space.
I wouldn't hesitate to get an all electric coach. I can't really see any disadvantage. Eveything the propane systems did like heat and hot water is covered by the diesel electric hydronic heat. If you can afford an all electric coach you can afford a few thou more for a 1200 watt solar system that will cover most power needs without running a generator. I don`t think drycamping would provide anymore of a challenge than what it does for us now. We have a residential fridge in our rig although we are not an all electric. We run our generator for about 45 minutes twice a day on days where we don`t get full sun but for the most part the solar keeps up. I suspect the all electric crowd could do the same during the breakfast hour and supper hour if they needed the stove. Angela says she likes the gas oven and cook top but she could probably get used to all electric. We have a 50 gallon propane tank in the basement that pretty much takes us through a year of full time living but I can see the attraction to only having one fuel.

I thought I had stated THAT quite plainly, a couple of times!
Oh, well...
You did, that's why it was worthy of a comment. I'll bet it would be tough to pull that VHS player out of your coach.....let me guess, DVD players are not for you too!!

Thanks for the laugh!
I always get a chuckle out of ridiculous statements!
Actually, my Tioga has a flat screen tv with built in DVD player.
I even have a CD player in the coach, along with the cassette player in the dash.
However, just to make you feel good, I DO have a VHS player in the house, along with several VHS tapes.
The Beta player may be in the garage, along with the reel-to-reel tape deck and tape reels, and the 8-track player with several dozen 8-track tapes.
I even have a good sized stack of vinyl 33 1/3 records!
AND a phonograph to play them!
I gave all my 78s to my son, so he can play them on his old wind-up phonograph, but I still have a box of 45s around here somewhere.
I even have 8mm and Super 8 movies, and the projector, and 2X2 slides and the projector, and 2 35mm cameras!
Yeah, I'm an old fogey, and I like some of the old stuff.
My wife has 4 vintage autoharps, and another on the way.
My ham shack has a Yaesu FT-101ZD!
Yeah, we like vintage and antique goods.
But that has NOTHING to do with not wanting an all-electric RV!

How informative.... to know you get a chuckle out of ridiculous statements, maybe you can share one of those statements we me? Did you get a chuckle out of my comment too? Dust off that dictionary under those VHS tapes and look up the difference!
Sweet dreams about that all electric coach!
Glad to:
"I'll bet it would be tough to pull that VHS player out of your coach.....let me guess, DVD players are not for you too!!"
IMO, THAT is a "ridiculous comment"!
I never dream about an all-electric coach. I don't dream about things that I do not want, and would never buy. So, that, too, qualifies as pretty much ridiculous.
I also get a chuckle out of those who can't be bothered to proof-read what they wrote. "...share one of those statements we me?" What does THAT mean?
"Dust off that dictionary under those VHS tapes and look up the difference!"
I don't know where the dictionary is (it isn't under the VHS tapes and DVDs, that's for sure!). Is it OK if I just google it? But, what am I supposed to look up?
Regardless, I neither NEED, nor do I WANT, nor would I be willing to pay for, an all-electric RV of any kind, type, or Class.

Or you could buy a new propane fridge (Dometic perhaps) without this problem...
