At the end of July we will be going on vacation to Washington . I need to know things you could do around the Olympic Peninsula,We will be staying at a campground in Port Angeles. We will also stay at Cape Disapointment and Greyland Beach. Any ideas and coments are welcome. We will be pulling a 26 foot TT.
The town of Forks might be worth a trip if you are into the Twilight series. Ruby beach and Klaloch lodge in the Nat'l Park. From Greyland you have to go to Tokeland and the Tokeland Hotel. Ocean Shores if worth a look. You can take the foot ferry from Westport. Cape Disappointment has tons to do and see in the area. Don't forget Astoria and Fort Stevens. Maybe even a trip south to Seaside. Have fun and enjoy but remember if you go to the rain forest and it is raining you have nothing to complain about.

Port Townsend, lots to see and do. Same with Port Angeles. Sol Duc Hot Springs is a great soak. And, as previously mentioned, Forks, Ho Rain Forest, Ruby beach and Klaloch lodge.
Take a nice drive to the west side beaches - beautiful! Sequim is lovely, although you'll miss the lavender, it's still nice. The Dungenese Spit is a fun place - we walked to the lighthouse last fall (see blow, link below, for more info). Could take a day trip to Victoria, BC if interested. Check out the Rain Forests too. The Olympic Peninsula is beautiful - have fun!
Port Angeles area: Hurricane Ridge - take a hike and pictures/drive out to Neah Bay - NW tip of Olympic Peninsula and the lower 48/visit Ozette archaeological dig near Neah Bay (http://www.makah.com/index.html)/others have already recommended walking Dungeness Spit (It's a very long walk out to the light house and the beach is rocks, not sand.)
Port Townsend: explore extensive gun emplacements at Ft. Worden SP (site of "Officer and a Gentleman")/walk-on the ferry to Whidbey Island and explore the gun emplacements at Ft. Casey SP near the ferry landing/sit on a driftwood log at either SP and watch freighters, cruise ships, and sometimes a nuclear submarine enter and leave the Puget Sound.
Cape Disappointment SP: explore the part of the park where Lewis and Clark first viewed the Pacific Ocean/drive on the beach on the Long Beach Peninsula billed as the "Longest Beach in the World"/take a hike at Ledbetter Pt. SP (wildlife refuge) on the north tip of the peninsula/buy a stunt kite and fly it on the beach/visit the old church in Oysterville/eat an awesome Willapa Bay oyster dinner at the restaurant in Nahcotta/ride your bike on the paved trails at Ft. Stevens just over the bridge in Oregon/rent dune buggies and ride them on the beach in Seaside/visit Ft. Clatsop where L & C wintered before heading back to St. Louis/spend a day looking around Astoria - climb to the top of the Astoria Column.
Greyland SP: look into the fishing charters out of Westport. I'm not a fisherman so as far as I know maybe that part of the economy has dried up as well. Fishing charters out of Westport and Ilwaco, WA used to be a booming business in the old days.
These are a few things you can help keep you busy at the 3 locations you mentioned. I love the Long Beach Peninsula. For my money I prefer the beach (one beach that is 20 miles long) there to those in Oregon, but I know lots of folks would contest that.
Enjoy your stay on our coast.

Gotta have one to get back in the U.S. Be prepared for arrogant U.S. Gate Guards if you enter at Blaine (I-5). Always takes the bloom off a nice trip North.
