We're too long to take HWY 140. If you're not, take 140.

What is the length limit for Hwy 140?

The sign on 140 says 45 feet, total length, but if you call Yosemite road conditions, 209-372-0200 it says no trailers over 35 feet, big difference. (The fine is $271)
There was a major rockslide that could not be cleared so they built bridges across the Merced to get around it. The bridges are only a single lane wide which is where the length restriction comes in. (The rock slide occurred in 2006. I Don't expect them to fix it anytime soon, if ever.)

I've not pulled my 5th wheel up that road, tho I have driven it quite a few times. It's fairly narrow with only one tight turn that I recall. I would do it. Locally it's claim to fame is that of being the route that was chosen when Queen Elizabeth visited Yosemite.
