I purchased 2 new Champion 2000 generators last November...Other than starting them up from initial purchase I never used them Until Last weekend for Country Thunder one of them wont idol will not smooth out the other one the pull starter is real freakin tight hard to pull & when it starts it overloads right away I called Champion & they directed me to a repair facility and advised me to bring in my receipt showing purchase is less than one year... I will post the results when they arrive

That's what happens when equipment just sits around.....it doesn't work when you need it.
Hope they fix them under warranty.
When you get them back.....might want to exercise them once a month (run under load for 30 minutes) and treat the gasoline with SeaFoam or Stabil (fuel conditioner that will help prolong the shelf life of gas)......otherwise next time you want to use them, probably will have same problems.

I use my champion all the time. I'd bet it has 500+ hours on it and it never skips a beat. Still starts on the 1st pull. Best $259 I've ever spent. Mine is a 4000w unit.

My Honda's have a little drain that clears the gas from the carburetor for when it's going to sit for a while. I would assume the Champions have a similar situation.

With the Champion, it is easiest to shut the fuel supply off and slightly tilt it to the back right corner. Then start it up and let it run the carb dry. Top off the tank and close the breather on the cap. Keep it in a cool area and you won't have any problems.
As for the hard pull, I had one like that. The module went bad and when I called customer service, they just sent me a new one, hardly any questions asked.

Well it has been over a week now since I dropped them off to a repair facility recommended by Champion tech support... The company has not even called... & for the last two days the business phone number is full can not leave a message.... I call Champion back they claim he is in good standings with them & they never received a call/order for parts from him for my generators... I stopped in today & was greeted by two other guys saying "BILL IS NOT HERE" NOT how can we help you they also claim Bill would not answer his calls & has not seen him in three days.... If I do not here from them by Thursday I have to call the police & have them reported stolen... I hope I am jumping the gun & I am wrong but when I dropped them off I had that gut feeling this is a shady deal Thanks allot Champion Tech Support

Sucks to hear that. I hope that you get things figured out and it all works out in the end.
