I recently saw this video on UTube which shows a quick and easy way to shuck corn .... since then we have tried it on ears of corn cooked in a microwave and on our grill .... we've found it to work as advertised .... with ears having very tight husk we have found making a slit in the husk a few inches long will release the tension and allow the ear to slip out easily

That is hands-down, by far, the most useful video I have ever seen on YouTube.

BTW, there's another video on YouTube on the same page that shows how to easily peel a hard boiled egg. Haven't tried it yet, but I intend to. Here's the link.

Where are you finding corn in a husk this time of year?

The same place I find my "fresh, vine ripened tomatoes". At my local Kroger store. Shipped directly to the local Kroger Warehouse from Florida.

I can testify that this method works great.
1 ear for 4 minutes. 2 for 8.
you will need the gloves. the corn is very hot.

But if you cut the stock off the end......what do you use as a handle when you grill them in the husks. Just grab the top and peel it back like a banana.

Next there will be a UTube Video on how to put socks on/off.......LOL

OK.....neat idea, seems to work (although Ken had problems with that second one)
