"If passed, the law would make living in a home on wheels a misdemeanor".
Put it on blocks and take the wheels off. No different than a mobile home.
They haven't thought this through very well. Play the game!

The reason behind this is the oil boom. There are so many workers and no housing that people are bringing in RVs to live in and parking them wherever there is open space. The place I store my TT is a mobile home dealer as well and they are scooping up FEMA trailer houses and shipping them up there as fast as they can get them.

If we had such a law in Yuma, Yuma would soon become a ghost town.

Seems like it just MIGHT be a better idea to regulate where they can park them instead of regulate their BEING there. There is no intelligence test required to get elected to public office It is always best to address the actual problem instead of the symptoms of the problem.

Seems to me the town has had plenty of time to get ahead of the problem. They could be selling water, sewer, and electric instead of wringing their hands. When all the workers leave, will the town be happy? Could become a ghost town virtually overnight

New Boom Reshapes Oil World, Rocks North Dakota
Quote: That's $1,000 a month, just for a parking space. "Is that not amazing?" Featheringill says. "And that's in a 70-mile radius. Just to park your RV."

I was talking to a fellow at Walmart in Dickinson. He said Williston is pretty much a closed cliquish town, not very welcoming. There a building boom, at least in Dickinson.

Speaking of Walmart. I found these on-line taken in the Williston Walmart parking lot.

Are these RVers? I know that they live in RVs, but are they really RVers, or do they use a RV out of necessity as a place to live because of the location of the job. Maybe the oil companies need to build some houses for these people.
