My 2004 Class A motor home has a 3000MH Allison transmission that is leaking at the front-end. A diesel mechanic friend looked at this and said it is probably the main seal which will be an expensive repair. I purchased the unit new in 2005, so the 5 year Allison warranty has expired.

My question is whether this repair will be covered by the Good Sam ESP Gold Plan I purchased 2 years ago.

MOST "Service contracts" (they are NOT a warranty) exclude seals and gaskets.
Checking with Good Sam is the only way to find out for sure.
Good luck.

X2

Don't you have a copy of the written service contract?

Read the section that covers 'exclusions'. Bet you will find.....'seals & gaskets' are NOT covered.

Seals and Gaskets are covered under the Good Sam ESP Gold policy for all coach components for vehicles up to 16 years old or 150,000 miles, and for drive train components for vehicles up to seven years old or 70,000 miles at no additional cost. You can extend the seals and gaskets coverage on the drive train up to the 16 years or 150,000 miles for an additional charge.

The leakage was a bad fuel lift pump which was replaced by the Cummins service facility.
GS ESP covered all but the $250 deductable after a debate regarding the amount charged.
