While out looking at a pop-up at the local dealership, we made the mistake of checking out a 2010 Sportsman Classic TT.

Oh.my.goodness.

Trying to be patient and make a good decision for our family (upgrading from a tent), but man we sure liked it. Still smelled new and everything.

be careful, cute can spell disaster. some times they just don't meet the requirements of the growing family and it can be a costly mistake. I hope you sat down and do your home work as to what size TT you need and look on the internet for models that fit YOUR needs.

I love the kz Sportsman little travel trailers. Very well built and pretty roomy.

I do suggest looking at the 20-21 ft model for a family. But only you can decide which will work for your family.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks!

Jeremiah

I googled the Sportsman Classic. I am impressed at what you get for the size. We have six in our family and, with the dog, we wish our HTT was bigger though it is serving us well. My boys are now liking sleepin in a nearby tent most of the time. Choose wisely and whatever you buy have it checked out prior to signing.

Now go back and sit in that cute little TT w/ the whole family and the doors closed. Act out your daily activities and think about things like rainy days and kids playing in there while mom cooks, dad watches tv or gets up to go to the bathroom. Think about where you will store everything (ie moms clothes in that cabinet, kids toys in that drawer and pots & pans in this cabinet etc). I bet you will find that little sportsman TT not so cute for your family any more.

and then compare sitting in that TT in the rain compared to sitting in a tent or packing that tent after a day or two of rain.

Make sure it's practical for your family as well as cute. That said, I have the fraternal twin KZ Spree Escape (gelcoat siding instead of aluminum) and I like it. Mine is a 16 footer and is fine for 1 or 2 people... cost under $10K. Not sure exactly which model you saw.

Yep - it depends on your perspective.

We used to have a Chalet Arrowhead, Belonged to a group that there were probably 55-70 different pop ups. Families all over and most that had more than 2 kids had tents or over hangs to help out. Not to be critical of some posters saying don't get small. Kids and families have fun camping at any age.
The size does' not matter ,,till you get older and really want/need more comfort.
We now have a 195RB Keystone Passport for just two.
Oh And did I miss how many kids TXLaura have/had?

Cheers
Chuck
