If your not sure of what you have or are looking at, especially with a used unit, I found a quick email question to the manufacturer with the Vin number generally produces a response with what components were used on that particular rig. This works well especially if the change suppliers mid production.
I have had 2 Lippert frame rigs with no problem....but I have had a close inspection on all of them.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

I don't plan on buying a new Keystone product to get a better quality product than what I purchased before. I have some serious doubts about whether a new plant by itself would necessarily improve quality. It takes alot more than a new building to improve quality. lets discuss the issues with the Keystone company that built the units we currently have.
They do not build a 2006 0r 2007 or 2005 Montana any more just as Ford does not build a 2008 Ford Anymore. I said the the Opportunity exist to improve quaity at the new plant. It will not help you or me with the isues we had with our year and model just as the improvemnets Ford made in the 2012 models does not help me with my 2008.
We had problems...We dealt with them and moved on.

WyoTraveler wrote: Is it a frame manufacturing problem or is it the specs the RV manufactures order out from the frame people? The RV manufactures order the cheapest frame that will hold their product to keep the price down. Mainly to stay in business. Steel has really gone up in price but look at some of the RVs. I don't have a 5Ver but my new TT fully loaded cost less than $15,000. That includes shipping, commissions etc. Plus manufacturing cost. All of that in mind, look where the RV manufactures put the plush things and where they cut costs. Plush up the insides to please mama and cut down on the undercarriage because nobody crawls underneath. Well, almost nobody.
I just purchased a new gooseneck stock trailer and the GVWR is 25,000 pounds. That frame is solid. I just don't think it is the frame people. I think it is what is ordered from them to build the RVs onto.
X2 they build the frames to what the customer orders. So if they order crap. Guess what there going to get?

That would mean that 5th wheels in the same price range are pretty much of the same quality. They use the same vendors, same workforce, same assembly line methods. We never said that a Montana or Jayco or Forest river were in the same price range as a Excell or higher $$ RV..
I said---"Rich used to say that the quality of RV's was all the same. Same vendors, small work force, same this, same that"
And----"Please forgive Rich, he also thinks all RV's have the same quality."
You said---"When did I say that.. "
And I showed you----http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseac........d/21202765/gotomsg/21205636.cfm#21205636
And now you want to throw in a different quote of yours, which doesn't change anything here.
And I mentioned you saying twice before the linked quote "quality is all the same"
Did you look at all of your old posts? And how about your "out of context" defense. You don't address anything I pointed out. Just keep playing the broken record.
And then you say---"We will not play the game with you." I don't know who "we" is? And if your not going to play that game---stop playing the game.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

You should go to the Lippert website and see all the companies that are part of them. One of the companies under them even build trailer mattresses. Not just frames, jacks etc.
