Just curious, does it interfere with opening the slide to be able to open the door? I ask because my wife and I will use that as a way to pass things through without opening the whole screen door if I need the pepper or salt or something like that.

Mine does block complete opening of the slide, but it still opens enough to pass small items like salt and pepper, etc. through.

It would all depend how close to the right hand side of the slide you mounted it. Very close would allow you to open the slide about half way or a little more, further left would limit the slide travel more. I bought the handle this weekend but ran out of time to figure exactly where I want to install it. Likely will get it done this week. I bought one with a metal bar and am thinking of drilling and maybe riveting a linkage arm on it. Might be over complicating it but I'll see once I get to messing with it a bit.

Just found this one. I like this. Whatever I can do so I don't have to open the slide once bug season starts. The less bugs the better.
