We should be getting the hitch on Friday and installing it sunday.
Tweetys was Excellent with the purchase and the quick delivery! I'm very happy with them!
But I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks or anything that we should consider.
It's the superglide and super rails set up.

I think the super rail under bed brackets will make alignment a non-event.
Wear safety glasses...
Every time I go to the sink to rinse out a fresh cut...my son likes to ask, "Dad, were you wearing your gloves?".
Yeah, I'm pretty bad about that.

You only get one chance when drilling the holes. Im not familiar with the super glide, but I imagine the rail attachment isn't much different. Be sure to put the spacers in the bed channels. Have fun.

Thanks! I think Pullrite said the superrails use 'existing holes' which I couldn't find any. But I wasn't really looking...
Do I need to buy a specific drill bit?
We are also 'installing' running boards/steps (I'm short, 5'5" and the GMC is HUGE. I basically FALL out of the truck) and a few other things on Sunday.
I'm so excited! I probably won't be doing much of the work, but I will take some pictures and post it.

It will probably use existing holes in the frame but you have to drill holes in your bed to match up with the mounts. Trust me, use a very small drill bit at first to make sure you are center before drilling the big ones. I have done this now on my Ford and Dodge and measurment is critical. You know the old saying " measure three times cut once"

When you get the hitch in, make sure you mark the positions of your bars in relation to the stub ups. LF/RF, LR/RR. otherwise it'll drive you nuts trying to figure out why the pins don't align and the hitch looks wacked.

My 06 Silverado needed drilled, no predrilled holes in the frame. I don't remember the bit size, it's in the directions. There wasn't much choice where the brackets went. The trickiest part is getting the holes drilled in the bed in the correct location. Read though the instructions and understand them before you drill. They give you a good tip on how to get the bed holes lined up properly with the bracket holes.The hole saw is hard to keep on track when drilling the holes, they always seem to end up half on half off the corragated floor.

Get a good drill and drill bits. The frame on my Ford was tough.

Thanks everyone! It's slated for next weekend since its pouring out and cold. Our friend is a huge tool fanatic and has pretty much everything under the sun. He and his daughter rebuilt an old Porsche and she did the welding! Anyway. We bought the drill bit, actually two of them and will post pictures when we start the process.
Also I did a short ride with the truck and wow is the ride rough! I can't imagine how it's going to be with the 5th Wheel. I hate to ask the question, but airbags make it better?
I'll try to do a forum search about it too.
