Try a search here for used RV parts or RV salvage or such. Here is just one but there are many.
I'm sure you can find what you want
Also try Google.
Also call the manufacturer of your RV for a part number, it will help.

Go to a cabinet shop and have them make you a fancy cutting board that fits in the area. It can be used for cutting and for counter space. I think I will replace mine, now that I am thinking about it.

We bought a used motorhome at a dealer. It did not have the corian top . . . the cost of a new corian top would be $600, I emailed the former owner and asked if they still had the top and I would be willing to pay shipping. They responded that they searched and found the top and they would sell it to me for $300. I told them we were not interested.

Now, I would have said "I'm so sorry we didn't include that. We will gladly ship it. I'll let you know the cost".

Am I offbase here?

You bought the motorhome sans top & now want the former owner to sell you the top at LESS THAN HALF the replacement cost !!! If fact it sounds like you expected them to give it to you free.

So now you have essentially cut off your nose to spite your face -- instead of $300, it will now cost you $600. You showed him!

Are you off base? Oh yeah.

BTW, if you must replace the countertop, there are faux Corian tops that are far less expensive.

I think the product would be incuded as part of the sale but since it was not, it is "as is". If I wanted it, which you do not, I would negotiate.

I would think that a local cabinet maker would be cheaper than making a special trip in the MH to get one made else where.

MSMITH, Why not put some nonskid rubber on the bottom to help keep it from rattling, instead of forgetting the towel.

I think the previous owner is a creep and I would not buy it from them for a dollar.

I could see them trying to sell you an after market item such as a tow bar or generator, but not something that came with the MH.

Go to a counter top maker and tell them your story and they will likely make you one for minimal cost. Corian cant be more then $30 or 40 dollars a square foot.

Whoa...the former owners are not creeps. They took very good care of this motorhome and we are thrilled to have it.

Msmith, you make me feel better.

We go to Shipsee with it several times a year. We will look there for a replacement. Thanks for the idea.

We didn't take them to the cleaners, but I cannot be sure the dealer didn't.

I'm not making them an offer....I'll look at that black stoptop with crumbs and dust for years before I buy that from the former owners. It would remind me everytime I looked at it.

And by the way...who ever decided that black would be a good color for the messiest (sp?) appliance in the kitchen??

I would rather pay Winnie $600 than pay $100 to the greedy previous owner.

Mine is up in attic. 21 x 22 1/2 with edges like a cardboard box cover. We don't like it because the stove rattles, and we got a cutting board from Camping World which quietens down the stove noise. But keeping it for the next owner if I ever sell the coach. You should be able to get any local corian guy to make you up a cover for the stove for well under a $100. Check around with the local kitchen contractor guys in your area.

And I can believe the previous owner was like that. He must have gotten a really bad deal or had the coach reposed. And I also can't believe some of the cmments you gotten either. Bunch of grumps!!!
