When I traded the Dynasty to a dealer, I included two volumes of things that I had done to the coach including every invoice for every ounce of oil and fluids ever put in the coach and anything ever done to it. I also included a box of replacement floor tiles that came with the coach when it was built. Finally, I also sent along the Patio-Room that attached to the exterior. Guess how much of that went to the new owner.... ....if you said ZERO you would be correct.... ....sometimes we just can't understand the thinking......Dennis

How did you get their email address? Certainly not from the dealer.
That aside, once you obtained the information, I would have handed it over to the dealer, since they took the trade-in. The previous owner owes you nothing. It was traded in to the dealer, so it should be his fight, not yours.

I don't get some people. If I was the previous owner and found it, I would have sent it to you, paid the freight and felt good about doing the right thing and making a new friend. I would be done with the previous owner and consider some of the options identified above (local cabinet shop, cutting board or some other material). Good luck and enjoy your RV.

They made you an offer. That does NOT mean they will ONLY sell it. They probably thought, "What the hell" lets see if she is dumb enough to pay for it. Email them back and explain that it is NOT worth it to you to purchase it, but you are willing to pay for the shipping. I see NO malice here, just someone that thought they might make a quick easy buck. Not everything that was in a product originally belongs to whoever buys it down the line if it was not in the product when resold. Doug

I would think that a local cabinet maker would be cheaper than making a special trip in the MH to get one made else where.
MSMITH, Why not put some nonskid rubber on the bottom to help keep it from rattling, instead of forgetting the towel.
Because like always you only think about the rattling when you're driving down the road and listening to it. When it's parked you forget all about it and all about fixing it. It's the same problem when something rattles inside my car. I never think about fixing it except when I'm on the road listening to it.

We go to Shipsee with it several times a year. We will look there for a replacement. Thanks for the idea.
We didn't take them to the cleaners, but I cannot be sure the dealer didn't.
I'm not making them an offer....I'll look at that black stoptop with crumbs and dust for years before I buy that from the former owners. It would remind me everytime I looked at it.
And by the way...who ever decided that black would be a good color for the messiest (sp?) appliance in the kitchen?? I certainly understand how you feel. Who knows why they acted that way and who cares any longer?
Last summer I was very upfront with the dealer on everyting (2 items) and the extension ladder was at home and I would ship it which I did. I carried an alternate ladder.
Suggestion: Use a cutting board for the stove top. With a router it might be flush or even stick up a bit. Some of the wood is beautiful and ohh it's also a nice working surface.

Dealers are famous for not including the little "extras" that they invariably offload from coaches on their lots. They don't want the units cluttered up. I can only wonder how many screen rooms, windshield covers, and specially made cutting boards are left in some storage areas of dealers.
Our coach - which was bought new-to-us - has the Corian stove top but now that I think about it I think I'll make a laminated wood cutting board. The Corian top is heavy and bulky. I suspect I can fire up the table saw and within a couple of days turn out something that's at least lighter.
But I sure wouldn't pay $300 for one. It's useless to the former owners. Let 'em eat enjoy it.

I know how you feel. Finding part of your motorhome is missing. In my case the previous owners would not turn over the Manuals package or the stove cover to the dealer. (The dealer tried while I was there.)
As for the manuals, I had to buy and download everything. I made the stove cover that I think is better than what came with the rig.
I was upset until I went through the compartments and found both the previous owner and the dealer had missed a new Gen-turi, a full set of high value speakers, and two top of the line camp chairs and an unused set of snow chains.
Good trade, Right.
