Getting ready to replace the tires on my 2005 E450 and I wanted to put good valve stems on so I called Tire Man and was told they couldnt help me because my front rims are Alum and the outer rears are Alum. Is there any other choices out there as I woul like to do away with the braided extensions. Thanks.

Borg has a large number of replacement stems and Bill there seems super knowledgeable and helpful when you call.

I'm in the process of trying to solve the puzzle for my own rig (same basic setup as you).

They make special custom valve stem sets for aluminum wheels. Google!

Try going to a truck stop where a tire shop fixes tires for the "BIG" rigs. I purchased my valve stems at Midwest Tire store here in town that also sells tires and mounts them for the semi's. They knew exactly what I wanted. I only have steel rims, but I'll bet they deal with the semi's that have cast aluminum rims also.

Midwest tire had several bins just full of different valve stems - both steel, brass, and chrome - bent in "U" shap, "L" shape, both long, and short.
