For the S&B we have a Calphalon 13" frying pan that came with a nice lid, and then I purchased this splatter guard for it which also works very well in terms of fitment.

In the TT we use this pan which I ordered after watching it get high ratings during testing on Americas Test Kitchen. T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Saute Pan. It's a nice pan but it does not have a lid nor splatter guard, and I've been having a time trying to find a lid that fits. Purchased a so called universal 13" lid from walmart but it doesn't fit (too small).

When the weather is ok we prefer to cook outside on a coleman stove, barbeque, etc. I prefer this because it keeps the frying/grease mess and heat outside instead on on the cooktop/walls of the TT. But we also camp in some not so nice weather so the TT cooktop does get used and frying bacon etc of course eventually makes a mess.
While I really like the splatter guard above, the handle doesn't fold and it would be difficult to store.
I'm also wondering if I should just forgo the splatter guard for the TT and just carry a lid and then crack the lid a bit for steam escapage.
What say you, do you use splatter guards and/or lids on your frying pans in the RV?

My favorite is a round glass lid that I rescued from a neighbors pile on trash day. It fits my favorite fry pan. It rests about halfway down the curve inside the pan. Glass is great, I can see the food cooking. It holds the heat in, but the main reason for using it is to prevent the fire alarm sounding. The new alarms are terrible. I cannot fry a decent steak because of the fire alarm. Mine reads a perfect sizzling steak as a raging flame.
A good lid saves a lot of cleanup time. Splattering grease puts a fine film on everything.

We use a silicon set of splatter guards my DW purchased from QVC.
I put a hook on the inside of one of our cabinet doors and they hang there until we need them.

the first thing I do when I buy a RV is to put plexiglass sheets behind the stove using velcro squares. my latest came with a clear shield on the countertop at the end where it meets the sofa.

I cook breakfast in an 8" and when needed i just offset the lid a little and it works fine. I think grease frying is a different animal though and even cracking the lid will let a little out, but at least it goes on the stovetop.
Have you checked Amazon?

Yes, and have not found much in the 13" category. So far the only one that looks promising is the replacement glass lid for the calphanon pan we have in the S&B. It's a true 13" lid that fits but it's $40, and I was hoping to find something a little more reasonable.

Before I found a great lid at a garage sale I bought a pizza pan and had my husband put a wooden dresser knob handle on it. It has been working for about 15 years now. The PP was really cheap so I always make sure that I dry it well.

That's a simple solution for a universal lid. I like the idea.
