Well, I'm very seriously thinking about pulling the trigger and purchasing a 2007 Lance 1055. It's loaded with generator, solor, really nice large dry bath, all weather and convenience packages and a whole bunch of other options. I have only seen the photos at the dealers website, but I'm in LOVE with it! The dry weight is actually less than my 910 Weekender also! I SO want a dry bath and the extra counter space in the kitchen and NO FRONT WINDOW...
So. Do any of you have this model and if so how do ya like it?
Thanks in advance.

I have the exact TC sans Generator. I love it. There have only been a few minor issues in the two years that I have been using it.
I did replace the faucet on the kitchen sink. The Batroom door kept swinging open while driving so I added a metal clasp and eye hook to keep it closed. The storage hatches needed to be seales on the door seams and the weep holes at the hatch gasket filled with silicone. The mattress was too firm for my liking so I added a memory foam topper. I modified my battery tray and it now easily fits two Group 31 AGM Batteries. That has been my sum total of issues.

I never owned one but I always liked them. I also love the dry bath and the tons of storage, both inside and out. One of the nicer "no slide" TC's as far as Im concerned.

Thanks for that.. This one has the metal sides. I don't want a laminated camper for that very reason. I've heard too many horror stories and seen some really terrible stuff!

Thanks! I forgot you had one.. I too would replace the faucet with a single handle one.
YOU HAVE BATS???!! I guess putting a clasp on the "batroom" door to keep them in would be a good thing! Do you let them out the roof vent? ... I'd be interested in what you did to put both 31 AGMs in. I have a new one I'll be taking with me if I pull the trigger and had already intended on getting another one, so it's good to know there is space somewhere to modify to get it in there!
Thanks again!

Well I am the Batman....{like Steve Young I have taken a few blows to the head}.
The mod was just lifting up my original AGM on a wood platform to clear the front lip so I could load it long side in. Interstate Marine AGM group 31s will fit side by side in the tray with no mods.
Hello All. I have a 2008 Lance 1055 and it suits my need just fine.
The only trouble I've had was a water leak in the large skylight/escape hatch in the cab over, which I solved by removing it and putting byutal tape aroung the flange area (there was none) and reinstalling it. No problen since.
I also had the problem of the bathroom door opening during driving but that was easily solved by extending the movable part by about a 1/4 inch so it fit into the upper part further, no problem since.
One thing that I would change in the 1055 is the kitchen sink arrangement. It is square to the floor and that makes you reach a lot to reach the inner part of the double sink, but thats nit-picking. I love the large dry bath. All in all I like the 1055.

I have the 2009 model of the Lance 1055 and have had only minor issues. Like others, the bathroom door would fold open during travel but raising the latch fixture about 1/4 inch solved that. Still considering replacing it with some kind of sliding door to avoid it sticking out so far when open.
All the windows are side sliding but have not had problems with rain blowing in. For circulation we open the down wind side windows and crank open the fantastic fan vent that has a cover. The Onan generator is way too loud but it is handy having the remote start from the control panel inside.
Had to replace the door handle/lock but don't attribute that to Lance issues. The mattress was not sufficient but a 3" memory foam pad has solved that. We also put foam wedges under the mattress to give the whole mattress a 4" rise from foot to head. I also raised the small shelf that is over the kitchen sink about 4 inches to accommodate the increased thickness of the foam pad.
When the water pump failed I discovered that in order to get to it I had to remove the shelf and one vertical panel from the cabinet under the sink. They had been glued and stapled permanently in place, not the best of designs. I installed a small bolt and wing nut arrangement for easy removal when I need access now.
No leaks anywhere so far and haven't recaulked yet. I keep it covered when not in use and am guessing the UV protection from the cover has helped. The plug from the solar panel failed and was replaced. It enters the roof receptacle vertically and a loop of wire sticks up about 4 inches. My guess is that while installing and removing the Calmark cover I stressed the plug back and forth enough that one aluminum prong broke off. Problem solved by putting a small box over it before covering. Better would be a flat horizontal plug arrangement.
Aside from replacing the manual adjust thermostat with a digital one and installing LED lights, those are all the mods I've made. Next on the list is the rod to operate the fan vent flap while inside the camper.
One last note, fully loaded for our 2 month arctic circle trip we were right at the GVWR of our F450 and we don't bring a lot of extras along. We did have an extra spare tire for that trip and we have a grille guard (estimating total weight of both at +/- 200 pounds).
