Has anyone ever heard of upgrading your RV oven to an automatic starter? It takes forever and a day for our oven pilot to catch. Is this feasible?

Thanks!

I don't believe I've ever seen one but apparently there is at least one manufacturer that's making them.

I have an ignitor in my circa 2001 surburban stove/oven. No clue if it is oem though. I put it on pilot and spin the lighter knob and puff, she goes.

I honestly don't know how the oven works because neither of my trailers have an oven. I'll assume it is a manual piezo-electric ignitor and you have to hold down a gas valve to light the pilot.

In my pop up the refrigerator is manual light like I described above. I bought a relighter intended for an RV water heater. I flick a switch and it continues clicking until the burner lights. I still have to hold the gas valve when lighting. If the burner goes out the relighter immediately starts clicking again and relights the burner.

This is the one I used. It works off of the 12v system of the trailer.

This is another option that works off of a separate 9v battery.

I did this mod and it was well worth it as I was the one that had to get down on my knees with a flashlight and striker, now I just hold in the knob for a few seconds and push the button and the pilot is lit.
