Yip -- but wanna share my story. We had a 36 ft dp, less than 5 yrs old. Was in iyr hometown, helping our friends with their new house. We camped at the local park, but was having to move out because of the time limit. Called around and one place was rather snotty and asked the age of our rig. I told her, she said we were okay. I told her we'd drive by and look at their park. Well, when we got there I was shocked --- she was worried about the age our our rig??? The "office" was the old house on that homestead, falling down. The drive in was gravel, potholes and puddles. People were backed into spaces that had trees rubbing on their rigs (VERY overgrown) and their cables for the sat. dishes were strung clear across the driveway in......can't imagine what a few days of cars driving over it would do to the cables!! NO amenities, although they were charging like it was a 5 star park. No laundry room, no pool, NOTHING but mud and wet!!! We stopped at the office and I informed her we would NOT be staying there. She actually asked me why ---- I looked her in the eye and said "because you don't meet MY standards".....LOL the look on her face was priceless!!!
Earl E wrote: The reason for the rule is simple: to weed out the old, broken down, seedy rigs. I've never known a cg to actually turn down a rig over 10 years old if it is in decent shape. But they have to have the rule on the books to eliminate the park beginning to look like a trailer trash cg.
Just because a rig is over 10 yrs old doesn't make it broken down and seedy. And in my Dad's case his bus was painted by us kids with brushes and rollers. It was by no means new but it was ours and we were proud of it. It was an old bus but we weren't bad people. And certainly would not have deserved to be discriminated against.

Well now...you feel you're being discriminated against..???? why??? Their park, their rules....look at the MotorCoach resorts in Florida and Palm Springs. They won't let pull behinds or fivers in no matter how new. Now my Cousin Eddy tried to git inta one of them thar fancy places with hiz ARE VEE and was turned away...HE felt discriminated against.....Only one place asked me to email them a pic of my Dynasty when making reservations because it was a 96. That was an upscale park in California. I sent the email and they sent back my confirmation. Turned out to be one of the nicest parks we've been in.....I like rules and regulations as long as they're fairly enforced along with some common sense.....better to say no up front than try to evict someone.....JMHO, YMMV.....Dennis

I have a 2012 but only 31 feet. Too short for some places. I have friends who own lots in a couple of resorts. They have a lovely 45 ft Monaco and it works well for them. The attitude of owner v guest is becoming a problem especially when they have events. We enjoy meeting people at the group events. but having the room divided between owners and guests or different name tags with the designation is not welcoming. The campgrounds are as much about people as anything and I have met some great people in some pretty basic campgrounds. I do like a campground on the water and will pay premium for that. Love Malibu RV Park and like Chula Vista.
never turned away in my 1985 southwind one tine i had to e-mail a pitcure, one time when i was fulltiming i was told i need to have rv looked at but that didnt happen
I was ini one CG that was clean but had an old Class C that had a woman living in it full time. She had run out of money and we saw it towed out becase it would not run and she couldn't afford to fix it. She had been to everyone looking for money while puffing on her cigarettes and holding her can of beer. There was no age limit there but we have never been to a park with a limit.
