I have been seeing cyclone vent covers on the sewer vents of several fifth wheels. Sometimes when the wind is bad we have a sewer smell. Does this help with that. If you have them what is the advantage.

The 360 Siphon vent worked better than the rotating type vent for us.

Thanks, I hadn't seen those before. I like those better than the ones that rotate. I assume I'd need the longer ones since my trailer is a 2012???

We needed one on our previous rig - whenever we drove, somehow the air recirculated back from the black tank roof opening back into the rig. Put one on and never had the problem again. I think it helps by pulling out the "air" rather than it somehow coming back in. Only had the problem when driving, however, not sitting in one spot. Don't have the problem with current rig.

Hi All.

X2. We have had boht type of Vents. We had the "CYCLONE Vent" on pour last 5'er/

We have the 360 DEGREE VENT on the Motorhome that we now have.

We believe the 360 Degree vent does a better job of Venting.

Of coarse, we have never had any oder issues at all, in the past 45+ years as RV'er.

The real trick, beside having a good Vent is "Water", "Water","Water" and more "Water".

Not using enough water will cause you more problems than not. And most times, adding Chemicals will add to the smells, not help it.

Just our two cents worth. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill
