Anastasia State Park is a great place.
Don't know the size or pedigree of your rig, but they have some sites that will fit 40 footers.
You have to drive or bicycle to the beach, but it is a very good beach.

Darn, SidKaye, you just beat me.

Well, I'm booked for early June for Faver-Dykes SP. I tent camped there 3 decades ago but don't remember much of the park. (College Spring Break kinda thing)
Faver Dykes is not on or near the beach but inland about 6 miles (or so). The Park and another land tract make up over 6k acres of pine forest and hammocks.
Reviews mention a narrow dirt road into the park but not much else being negative. If you enjoy peace and quiet with a dash of amardillo's and raccoons then Faver Dykes may be for you.

What size RV? Anastasia Island SP has a very limited amount of longer campsites in the Coquina loop. North Beach RV resort is not bad but everything except the State Park is expensive. Hanna Park north of St Augustine back in Mayport is a nice City of Jax Park with FHU's and is reasonable too but it is a little drive back down to St Augustine.

We stayed at Anastasia for 2 nights before heading over to Disney and loved it. The drive through the trees is narrow but reminded me of a jungle atmosphere. Only one issue. When the sun went down there was these little flying bugs that bite you and we had one of those little reptiles (looks like that one on the insurance commerical) get into our camper.

North Beach Camp resort, is very nice. It has room for all sizes of rigs. We spent a spring break there in 2009. At first they said it was sold out, but the lady said call back every day someone will cancel, it worked out great.

St. Augustine has a lot of history, we did the Fort, and so many other things including the lighthouse haunted tour. Skip the fountain of youth, it must be broken, it didn't work.

We stayed at Faver Dykes and loved it. Don't worry about he single lane dirt road it is fine. Approaching at night for the first time is a little uneasy when you see yourself leave the pavement onto a single lane dirt road but no concern once you get back there. It is tight but can be done.

We stay at North Beach every year. Close to town, large sites and access to the intercostal and ocean.
