We will be leaving Dallas in the AM and will make our way to Little Rock. We think we can then get a little further on I 40 toward Memphis before we need to rest for the evening but having a problem finding a place to stay between Little Rock and Memphis. Has anyone stopped at a Walmart off I 40 or stayed in one of the rest areas OR do you know of an RV park along that route. I did check rvparkreviews and got some terrible comments on a few parks.

For free, there is a north little rock cracker barrel. Google brings it up.

Riverside is a bit noisy, it right on the interstate in Little Rock. If you need to stay in Little Rock the KOA in North Little Rock is right off of I-40.

Don't get off in Little Rock and get on the east side of town...If you don't know where you are you can get into a mess real quick...Riverside is right under the interstate on the river banks of North Little Rock..It's a parking lot with hookups...

We are really wondering about something east of Little Rock on 40. Can one stay in the Walmarts or the rest stops and feel safe? I read that some Walmarts have bars across to stop RVers from spending the night?????

You sure can, we've done it before, but I never get a good nights sleep. Rest Stops or truck stops have a lot of traffic coming and going. WalMarts have cameras that keep an eye on their parking lots, but still I always have trouble sleeping.
