Got everything out OK so that I can grip the 4114 type bulb to remove it from the socket. However, it doesn't want to slide out. Looks like there could be a plastic tab on each side that goes into a groove in bulb plastic base.
Mine was kinda melted to the plastic surronding the glass.If I remember I just pulled hard. Might be a good idea to put some dielectric on the new one. I'm glad you are fixing it. So many times they just ignore them I think it adds a lot of safety to driving
you might even have to replace the socket. They get so hot they melt the socket & you cant get the burned out bulb out. There is nothing to hold them in.
