Can anybody recommend a family friendly campground in Cape Cod, preferably with hookups? I am looking for a campground that does not have an extra charge for every thing. Most of the campgrounds I have found on line charge extra for each child (we have 4, dog and vehicle). With all the charges we would end up paying an extra $30-40/day. Thanks!

No hook-ups at Nickerson State Park in Brewster, but one of the best CG's on the Cape. Very family friendly ... fishing, boating, swimming, bike trails, etc. Close to town for shopping.
There are FHU (expensive) CG on Cape, but I've never been in one, so can't comment. You'll be happy with NSP tho, if you can do without HU's. $18 per day for out of state.
Make reservations NOW, or you'll be out of luck ... PM me if you want more specific info.
We live here and have'nt camped here but we have checked a couple out for our friends. We would recommend: Atlantic Oaks, Eastham, Shaddy Knoll, Brewster and Sweetwater Farms also in Brewster. We only checked these and thought them fine, but we haven't been to any others; so we are not saying these are better than anywhere else.

We stayed at Cape Cod Camping Resort and enjoyed it. We also stayed at Peters Pond Rv Resort and didnt like it. Peters Pond has sites that were sold with park units on them and the people at the end of our street, did not like anyone driving by them. There kids were all over the street and left there bikes, electric cars etc in the way. When you drove by the guy would give you the look. Also this being on a pond, the jet skis go round and round ALL day. Not a quiet place.

X2 for Shady Knoll. Nice place. Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. You can walk to the Brewster Store for coffee and paper in the am, and ice cream at night.
It's not a place with tons of amenities, but it's really clean and well maintained, and they have full hook ups.
We like Sweetwater Forest in Brewster. It is just the 2 of us so I am not familiar with whether there are extra charges for kids but it is a family campground. Nice wooded sites It is also near the bike rail trail. We also stay at Atlantic Oaks in Eastham. The bike trail is right behind the campground so easy access to it. It is also closer to Provincetown if you are planning to go there.
Thank you everyone!!! Ever since I started Rving again and whenever I put a shout out for a park, you guys alsways provide good advice. My DW has decided that we should go back to capecodcampingresort and we will sight see from there. We have some business up Boston way so it might be better that we stay at the top fo the arm....
We've been to Sweetwater a few times. Nice and central for day trips. If you like Baseball, they are in the middle of the Cape Cod League (premier league for MLB prospects). Games are just a donation and it is fantastic baseball. Beaches are close by also.
