I wanted to add that my camper has the Mr. Coffee version of the keurig. At home I have the Keurig Office Pro. Both make awesome coffee. With the Mr. Coffee I have to put the water in for each cup. It is just like the Keurig Mini. I bought it because the pump had a higher durability rating than the actual keurigs. I think they have reworked and improved them.

My vote would be for a Keurig type.

If you are only making coffee a couple times a month or even per week, this is a great idea. The K-cups are a bit spends but it's not like you'll be going through a bunch of them. And the coffee is super tasty and it is HOT!!! We use it during the week when we have places to go and people to see. Then on the weekends I take the time to perk a pot of coffee on the Coleman stove outside.

Same here. We broke our old Bodum french press with the glass carafe and replaced it with this Stainless Steel one from Bodum. A bit pricey, but it solves two problems; won't break and is insulated to keep the coffee warm. We got the larger 10 cup version of this one:

For 25 years we have had the same Melita cone filter holder for making coffee. heating the water up takes the chill off the trailer in the morning. We drink it so fast that pouring it into a thermal is a waste of time.
Last year we had electric hook ups for the first time so we picked up a $6 drip coffee maker from WM. It takes forever but does the job.
We have used a Bunn at the house that I love but having something that has to be plugged in all the time is a no no when you boondock.

We have a coffee maker with the metal caraffe and we hate it. i forget which brand it is. But you have to have teh top on it in a perfect position or the coffee will run down the side and all over the counter. It took a few pots to figure it out right. My wife will not bother with it. We bought a new cheap coffee maker this last camping trip with the normal glass caraffe. If it breaks, oh well, we will just buy a new maker. A new glass caraffe costs more than half the coffee maker price. We were going to throw out the old one, but we put it in storage in the camper for "in case of emergency"...lol
We like the cheap coffee makers because they keep the coffee hot until you turn them off. No need ot worry about thermal. Plus a pot of coffee will not last long between the two of us.

We use a percolator on the stove and then put it into a thermos carafe. Saves on electricity and surging of heating element.

I recenty discovered the French Press. It's a convenient size AND makes awesome coffee. French press is to coffee what Guiness is to beer: Rich, full bodied, smooth, never bitter.

We use a cheap B&D 4 cup pot. You get a couple of cups apiece and it stays fresher. If it breaks on the road it will not cost much to replace it.
