I made an appointment almost a week in advance at Camping World Avondale, AZ for a diesel oil change. Arrived early, a very friendly young lady wrote up the work order, went outside to get more info. I mentioned I needed to be out of there by 4PMish for an important appointment.
Went back after to check after ½ hour, another person was asking me same questions while inputting info into computer. Sigh.
1 hour later RV still not in shop. A third individual asked me what I was having done. My frustration was evident as he found the work order, but still didn’t understand part of it. Thought I wanted the rear springs replaced (?)
At 3:30 the RV went into shop, they discovered they did not have filter onsite. At 4:30 it was done, however someone in shop did not sign off on parts (filter). Finally go to cashier, who then has to proceed to reenter entire work order in her machine because there are two incompatible computer systems, GS & Camping World.
Miss the appointment. Not only do the computer systems not talk to each other, neither do the employees. ‘
I believe there is vast room for improvement here. Won’t even mention that the big sign behind counter says $159, yet price is really $169 – oops, I just did.

After the second person asked the same questions and the third person thought I was having springs replaced, I would have been out of there.

IMHO, they should have knocked off some of the bill. The fact that they didn't make any adjustment leaves me a little disappointed that maybe their customer service philosophy is no better than before the merger.

You picked a day in the year when nobody called in sick. They have been on the job for five years or so but rarely show up enough to be proficient at anything. Common problem these days, sigh.

Since you mentioned Camping World (and so did I), I suspect the big boss will run across this shortly.

Why not leave in time for your appointment and get the oil changed latter? Point out to them that they lost your business and go else where.
I would have.
