Converted the "clothes closet" into a pantry. The 01' Lance 845 really lacks storage. Originally had some cardboard boxes in this cabinet and soon discovered that really didn't work.
We purchased a bunch of plastic bins and stacked them on top of each other. That too was too much of hassle. When you need something in one of the lower bins, all bins above it had to be removed. The heavier the bin the more of a pain it was.
There has to be a better way! Took the bins and with this simple easy mod there is a better way!
We left a little bit of room between the bins to hold taller items with the lid off.

Yep, did the same thing with my 845. That plus the overhead "bunk" are gives pretty good storage.

Bins are from Walmart. Cheap and sturdy! A bit bigger than a shoe box and fit great in this cabinet. Two more bins are located in the cabinet under the fridge. The bins were less than $2.00 each.

What did you do up there?
Currently working up there. Need some great ideas since I live in it 3-4 days a week.
So far, this is what has been done up there. New mattress (oh it sure was fun getting the old one out)Tried a topper on the orginal mattress but kept whacking da elbows on the ceiling! I'm short and can sit up but couldn't with the topper. Got me to thinking ....what do tall people do?
Installed a gator net going across. Then put quick release buckles on the ends of the gator net for easy access. Things used to slide right off onto the floor driving on mountain roads! We live in the mountains and that was a problem. Got tired of a pile on the floor real fast!
Placed a couple of cube containers from target that have a padded top.
TV mounted on the end of the kitchen cabinet along with a converter box. Would like satelite in the future and need to do more research on that.
Thinking about hanging some bins on the ceiling if that makes sense.
Thanks!

The overhead bunk I'm talking about is the one over the dinette. Removed all the sleeping gear and there's room for my BBQ, and 9 medium containers from Wally World.
As for the cabover area my friend with an 845 put wire shelving over the windows, haven't got that far with mine yet. Actually I'll probably put bookshelves over mine.

Turn 12" or 16" wire closet shelves upside down and you have a lip that will keep the plastic shoe boxes from sliding off of them. These are 12" shelves, mounted on a piece of angle-aluminum screwed to the walls.

Great ideas. I don't have picture of it yet, but I saw something on the net once where someone cut the foam insulation into "slices" the depth of the closet placing them along the wall of the closet. The slices were as tall as I wanted in various heights. They then put thin plywood or something rigit between the slices to make shelves. I did that in my house and it worked well. I am asking my DS to take a photo of it. I actually attached the foam with velcro to the side walls of the closet so I didn't have to drill or a hole. This was an odd closet, rather narrow, and tall. It may have been a broom closet at one time. The house is about 225 years old.
