We have been through Galcier NP, Banff & Jasper NP's before so going straight to Edmonton to catch the Alkan Hwy. When we get to Whitehorse will go north to Dawson City and then make the ALaska loop. We will come home via British Columbia down to Seattle and Portland.
I have to go thru South Dakota and Oregon which will complete my travel thru all 50 states. Next year will try to go east and add more Canadian providences to my list.

jerryjo, When returning home via the Stewart Cassair highway I would imagine make sure that you stop at three of British Columbia's nicest provincial parks, Boya Lake, Kinaskin and Meziadan Lake all along the Stewart Cassiar.
If going east along Highway #16 to Prince George make an effort to go north of Vanderhoof to Fort St James, while worth the visit.
If going through the Shuswap there are many nice provincial parks to stay at, Herald and Shuswap Lake near Salmon Arm, Bear Creek by Kelowna, etc.
Hope that you have a great trip.

IF planned and prepared, the trip could just be a great time. Keep updated and look forward to see happy moments of your trip.

Hate living in the house which is like a box.
So I like Tent Camping.

Hope to see you on the road. We don't leave until May 10th and I am already very very excited. We have been a number of times before but this will be first time back to Alaska since 2008!

Dog (Abby) is older and wiser (thank goodness). We first took her to Alaska when she was 6 months old in 2006 and she was a live wire (I guess all GSP's are). Anyway she doesn't know yet (she isn't that smart) but will be happy to be on the road again with us. Once we start packing up the DP she will not let us out of her site. She does love to travel as do we!

Took my Brittany and she had a blast. Even pointed some Ptarmigin ( chickes) on the top of world hwy.

We remember pulling away from our house in 2010 on our way to Alaska & Canada. We could not believe we were actually doing it. Had the best time of our lives, and want to do it again real, real bad.

Well, we were vacationing each year in Yukon, so we purchased property and have moved to Yukon. Just selling the stick house on Vancouver Island now.
