looking for some input on this campground its off the 395 about 5 miles above Toms Place.

We got site 123 for the last wk of August. This spot looks like its pretty close to Rock Creek and level.

Also anyone know where the closest shower facility would be open to the public.

Thanks for all your replys and have a safe and fun season.

Nobody? I would guess most who visit this area either live in SoCal or Nor Cal up near Nevada.

Been awhile since I've been up there but as I recall there is a public shower either in the restaurant or just up the street. I'm sure they can tell you.

For a week in August you'll need about five gallons of "OFF" per person.

Use standard bear precautions too.

Great area; you'll love it!!!!

I think if you go straight up the road to the lake, the resort has coin op showers. Don't miss the Pie!

Hey there. I camped at a campsite just north of Tom's plcae about 5 years ago. I can't remember the name of the campsite for sure but I want to say it was Big Meadow campground. It's located among the cluster of campgrounds along the same road. I recall showers being at the campgrounds, but I am not 100% sure. At any rate, Tom's Place has showers for a fee. I can't tell you what they charge but I know they are available. Tom's place is located right off the 395 as I'm sure you know. Hope this helps.

I'm camping in site #124 at the end of July. The general store at the lake has coin showers available to campers. Check out their website rockcreeklake.com you have a great site I camped in it several years ago. If you want to see the campground their is a YouTube video show all the sites. Let me know if you need any other info. happy trails

Thank you I did find the youtube video on this campground. Also there are showers within 1-2 miles up the road at the lake lodge.

Our site 123 seems like a nice one and level. Right on the creek hope the fishing is good in rock creek.
