Had a little camping trip this weekend, just an overnighter. A small amount of waste in the black tank, solid and liquid. How long can I leave it in there without having any issues?

Put some extra water (at lest 4-5 gals)in the tank along with an enzyme BW treatment and you are good for at least a month, assuming your tank does not have any problems.

Try to dump the waste as soon as posible, unless you want to have a real biohazard area residing in the tank.

If you are not able to dump, then add more water and a digester to brake down the sludge, Home Despot has a product made by Zep Manufacturing, blue in color that is used in ceptic tanks.

This will help dissolve the waste, and with the water, it will prevent the sludge, from becoming the dreaded, brown concrete. Do not leave it in the tank to long, water evaporates, and the sludge will harden.

Hope it helps

weeks sometimes.
as long as you have water and a tank additive, there's no need to dump until you want to or need to.

I would want the tanks 10-20% full of water before leaving them, more if it is hot. If the water evaporates, that is left tends to be "baked on".

As long as you want just so there is some liquid in there so things don't get hard. You don't need any additive unless you just want some.

Just make sure you have plenty of water in there. It sounds like your taking about a minimal amount of waste so the main thing is plenty of water to prevent the waste from hardening. If you are planning on dumping on your way in to a campground and prior to parking at your next campsite, If it were me, I'd put enough water in to get a 1/4 or 1/2 full light on the black tank. Why not if it's all coming out before you camp again. That would give it plenty of water for the waste to disintegrate and make sure nothing dried out. Knowing the size and shape of your tank may help you in deciding how much water you need to make sure you don't have any areas that are not getting water. Most are rectangular tanks with flat bottoms but some are sloped slightly and then you have to ask if you are parking it level so the whole bottom is covered in water. Thats why the 1/4 tank full suggestion.
