I will say that you are lucky you are further south and not up here by Sacramento and like to ride in the El Dorado National Forest. I don't know if they covered this at the rally but the Forest Service looks like its going to close 42 trails for the next year. Trails like Barret Lake jeep trail, Strawberry, and Deer valley. These trails and used by 4x4' and motorcycles. There are also about 4 or 5 motorcycle only trails to be closed also.

The trails will be closed for the next year so more studies can be done to the meadows and wetlands these trails cross. Will all these trails get reopened next year when the findings are in or is this the beginning of the end of trail riding. Will my kids only be allowed to ride in places like Prairie City and Hollister Hills OHV parks and have no idea what its like to be able to recreate in the National Forest? Its looking more and more like that's the way its going as the greenies keep winning in the courtroom. Hopefully everyone will keep writing the letters and donating money.

They tried to close the roads and trails in NE Oregon --- but the locals (and everyone who knew) raised such a stink they decided to keep them open. You CAN fight city hall.............

If your local clubs allow this to happen, it is the end of all those trails. Just do a little web surfing and you will see more than one example of trails closing for evaluation and never reopened. DO NOT trust either BLM or USFS to do anything for the recreation user, unless they are forced to by the courts.

Dave Pickett is very active in El Dorado forest representing AMA District 36. If Dave fights or supports something so should we.

Sad but true. I'm very disappointed in their current direction. We need to make some changes, again.........
