"Thank God pushing the diesel button on the pump kept unleaded from coming out of that dispenser"
Thank you for posting that!
That was the whole point of my post, no more, no less. With the pumps we have around here, I just don't see how getting the wrong fuel could be done!

If your referring to my post, I totally agree.......Thank God!
When you have to push the little button that says what type of fuel, and you grab the wrong dispenser hose cause it's green like most diesel dispensers are, and nothing works, that's a "God Send" man.
I was fueling a big old 26' Penske truck at the time while our family was moving from California to Northwest Ohio.
Don't all the pumps have a push-button choice before fueling? If they do, then when you choose diesel, only the diesel dispenser should dispense..........Right?

Quote: So---we have taken a rather simple diesel engine design that would run on almost any kind of fuel/oil without damage and have progressed to a fragil, complicated unit that a few drops of gas or water will destroy the whole system? Way to go manufactures.
This is progress?
Manufacturers had no choice.
Thank your government for the emissions laws that forced the mfg's to put all this******on diesels. They're the same folks who brought ultra low sulpher diesel fuel that causes lubricity problems....
Diesel engines are being slowly legislated out of existence in the US. But its interesting to visit Europe and see 80% of all vehicles diesel powered.
