My son is looking at buying a pop-up truck camper. The seller states that the camper is a certain year, but based on pictures on the Internet, the camper appears to be newer than stated. (Which is a bonus for my son).
Is there any way to actually tell the date of the camper so we know for sure?

Thanks for any and all answers! Appreciated!
There is usually a Vin tag on the unit that states its serial number, weight, and date of manufacturer. Should be attached somewhere visible.
2009 Chevy Silverado 3500 dually D/A, Supersprings, Stable Loads, Bilstein Shocks, Hellwig Sway Bar, Front Timbrens.
2010 Arctic Fox 1140 DB, 220 watts solar, custom 4 in 1 "U" shaped dinette/couch, 59 interior and exterior mods to date and still adding
If the original sticker or plate was removed you might look at some of the appliance tags-sometimes dated. Could be out side, in a cabinet, on the cieling...
Not all states require title, we dont have one on ours.
Since Alaska does not require titles, the PO said my Avion was a 1969 because he had some literature (wire diagrams etc) that was dated 1969. But I had been researching Avions for a good while before I found this one. I knew if it was a 1969, it would have the lucite windows vice the Jalousie windows that it has. But i had to call Cayo repair to see how close I had guessed. I was close. They are calling mine a 1966... You can use those types of things as clues when there are no papers, as well as looking for dates on the appliances as previously mentioned. Sometimes other things will have dates too, like a tag on the water tank, or the fixtures on the sink etc. Just ideas...

On my Four Wheel Camper there is a serial # written down under the carpeting near the lift panel above the bed rail.
You can call the manufacture to see if there is a tag or serial # hidden somewhere on the camper.
